1. Suzuki unveils its first electric scooter at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025.
Suzuki has unveiled its first electric scooter, the e-Access, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The scooter comes with a fixed 3.07 kWh LFP battery which gives a range of 95 km. The battery can be charged from 0-100% in 6 hours 42 minutes through regular charging and in 2 hours 12 minutes using a fast charger. The new Suzuki e-Access has a top speed of 71 km/hr and comes with a reverse mode for added convenience. The company didn’t reveal prices at the expo.
The e Access sits on the same platform as the petrol Access 125. Suzuki is entering the Indian electric scooter market after the recent arrival of Honda with two electric scooters, the Honda Activa e: & the QC1. There were reports of Suzuki testing the Burgman Electric in India, but the company has opted to bring the electric version of its most popular scooter instead. The Suzuki Access 125 is the country’s best-selling 125CC scooter. Suzuki using the ‘Access’ branding for its first electric scooter is strategically similar to what Honda did with its first electric offering.
The Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 is being held at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi from 17th to 22nd January. Kazam will regularly update you regarding all EV launches at the expo.
