1. Terra Charge launches EV charging hub in Ghaziabad.
EV charging company Terra Charge inaugurated an EV charging hub in Ghaziabad. The charging hub features 70 3.3kW slow chargers and one 60kW CCS2 DC fast-charger. The charging facility is open for individual EVs & fleets.
Terra Charge has invested Rs 5 crore in this project at Ghaziabad. All EV chargers at the hub are compatible with electric two, three & four-wheelers. The charging hub can simultaneously charge up to 72 EVs at once.
2. ThunderPlus launches 2 new EV chargers.
Trinity Cleantech’s EV charging brand ThunderPlus has launched two EV chargers: Thunder Lite & Thunder Tej. The Thunder Lite EV charger is designed for home EV charging. It is a 3.3kW AC charger which is compatible with electric two & three-wheelers. The Thunder Tej EV charger is designed for use in public places. It is a 12kW DC charger which is compatible with electric two & three-wheelers.
ThunderPlus also announced an opportunity for ambitious entrepreneurs to be a part of India's promising electric vehicle market. By becoming a ThunderPlus franchisee, people can be a part of the company’s EV charging network and earn handsomely. The franchise starts from Rs 6 lakh. 3. MG’s eHUB EV charging app gets 15,000 downloads.
MG India has announced the achievement of a milestone of 15,000 downloads for its eHUB EV charging app. The company claims that around 80% of the country’s fast-charging network is covered by the app. The ‘eHUB by MG’ features 28 EV charging networks. The app has a rating of 4.6 on Google Play Store & 4.3 on Apple’s App Store. The eHUB by MG app allows EV owners to find & book EV chargers, initiate charging process and make online payments on a centralized platform. This removes the need for multiple wallets & apps.
The app has been trending ever since the launch of the MG Windsor EV. Those purchasing the new Windsor EV will be eligible for free EV charging for one year via the MG eHUB app.
4. Bengaluru emerges as the leading city with most number of EV charging stations.
Bengaluru has emerged as the top city in EV charging infrastructure. The city has the highest number of EV charging stations across the country, according to a recent report by Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE). As per the report, there are 4462 EV charging stations in Bangalore and a total of 5765 across Karnataka.
Bengaluru's eco-conscious citizens & tech-friendly approach has played a vital role in EV adoption. To serve the increasing number of EVs in the city, the number of EV charging stations has also increased rapidly.
5. MG Windsor EV secures 15,000 bookings in 24 hours.
MG India’s latest electric car, the MG Windsor EV, has received a tremendous response from customers. Bookings for the Windsor EV began on Thursday, 3 October, 2024. Within 24 hours, the company received 15,176 bookings, making the Windsor India's 1st passenger EV to achieve such a milestone. This highlights the increasing demand for electric cars in the domestic market and an encouraging shift towards electric mobility.
